President and CEO
David Trappey became President and CEO with the acquisition of the company in 1996. A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, David obtained his BBA in Accounting from Loyola University and is a Certified Public Accountant. David’s career began with Celeron Energy in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he was assigned to the major crude oil pipeline project for the parent company, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. That experience led to an opportunity in 1985 at the Houston, Texas headquarters of Tenneco Energy. From Financial Services, David’s career at Tenneco included Pipeline Operations during deregulation of natural gas pipelines, End User Marketing for the northeastern United States, and finally Gulf Of Mexico production operations. In 1996, David was instrumental in the acquisition of Ace Uniform Company, now known as ACEUNICO, Inc. Under his leadership, and with the assistance of his leadership team, ACEUNICO has grown exponentially and expanded its reaches into multiple product lines, serving multiple markets through out the United States. From the ACEUNICO Administrative Headquarters in Houston, David directs corporate strategy and policy for the organization. David and his wife reside in Houston.

Vice President - Administration and Logistics
Raymond Bernard joined ACEUNICO in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Administration. Mr. Bernard was identified as the best executive to join the team and implement the transition from an entrepreneurial managed company to a professionally managed company, a need identified earlier in the year 2006. Raymond graciously accepted the challenge and joined the company in October of that year. Mr. Bernard earned his Bachelors of Business Management Degree from The University of Louisiana, Lafayette and brings twenty five years of sales, middle management and executive management experience to the organization. Prior to his joining ACEUNICO, Mr. Bernard held management positions with the Mcllhenny Company, manufacturer of the world renowned Tabasco brand hot sauces. With certifications in Logistics Operations, and leadership roles in various HR Management societies, Raymond maintains a vast knowledge base in
a broad spectrum of disciplines that keep ACEUNICO at the forefront as a most admired employer by ”A” players, our most coveted honor. As a critical member of the Leadership Team, Mr. Bernard is a force behind the growth of ACEUNICO by insuring maintenance of standards of excellence with focus on our work force. ACEUNICO recruiting, training, and A player retention is under the guidance of Mr. Bernard, allowing the organization to deliver on the Mission Statement that “ACEUNICO will maintain a culture that produces excellence throughout the organization”. In addition, Mr. Bernard has oversight responsibilities of the ACEUNICO Operations Headquarters and our new production facilities, both of which are in New Iberia, Louisiana. Mr. Bernard sits on the Board of Commissioners for the Port of Iberia in New Iberia, LA and holds various community leadership positions. Raymond and his wife reside in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Director of Production
Mandy Silvas was appointed Director of Production in February 2008. Ms. Silvas joined the company in 2000, bringing fifteen years of experience in production operations with an emphasis in embroidery operations. Under her guidance and focus on attention to detail, quality, and excellence, ACEUNICO carved out a tremendous piece of the Corporate Apparel and Workwear market. Through her years of Commercial Art and Art Education studies at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, Mandy fine-tuned her skills at applying art and design to branding products and services in commercial applications. In February 2008, Ms. Silvas was promoted to Director of Production, allowing her to apply her technical and management skills as leader over the entire ACEUNICO production operations. Ms. Silvas’ persistent and methodical approach has led to many innovative and cutting edge processes, including employee certifications in embroidery and sewing. Ms. Silvas is a recognized leader and strong advocate of excellence in the workplace, earning her a critical seat on the ACEUNICO Leadership Team in 2008. Ms. Silvas and her husband live in Lafayette, Louisiana.
